Trolltech собирается выпустить сотовый телефон
Компания Trolltech собирается в сентябре месяце выпустить "открытый" Linux телефон. Кодовое название данного продукта - "Greenphone".
Размеры данного телефона - 106.5 x 49.0 x 15.6mm, процессор - двухядерный Marvell (ранее Intel) XScale 312MHz, ОЗУ - 64 Mb, встроенная Flash память - 128 Mb, дисплей - QVGA (320 x 240) тачскрин, WiFi.

Trolltech, best known for development tools and Linux application stacks for phones and other mobile devices, will ship an "open" Linux-based phone in September. The "Greenphone" features a user-modifiable Linux OS, and is meant to jumpstart a third-party native application ecosystem for Linux-based mobile phones.
The Greenphone is manufactured for Trolltech by Yahua Teltech, one of its customers based in China. The phone has a fairly thin and small "candybar" form factor, and measures 4.2 x 1.9 x 0.6 inches (106.5 x 49.0 x 15.6mm). It is based on a dual-core Marvell (formerly Intel) XScale processor clocked at 312MHz. It has 64MB of RAM, and 128MB of flash, expandable through a mini-SD card slot.
The Greenphone has a QVGA (320 x 240) LCD touchscreen display, in addition to hardware buttons to support keypad-driven user interfaces. Trolltech's QPE has supported both touchscreens (popular in technology-driven Asia) and keypad interfaces (popular in convenience-driven markets such as Europe and the U.S.)

Моторола уже выпускает Linux-телефоны. Например, A1200. Разве что они еще не полностью user-modifiable. Но дай время и, я думаю, шаловливые ручки расковыряют все что только можно там расковырять

Trolltech очень кстати неплохие C++ библиотечку выпускает, с кучей полезных классов и шаблонов, кроссплатформенную. Когда-то очень интенсивно ее юзал. Думаю телефон должен славный получиться.

Моторола только анонсировала имхо A1200 и только в чайне. Потом может быть и в сша.

Да, пока в Китае, но скоро будет и в Европе. Хотя у кого-то уже есть. Вот тут http://motofan.ru/board/index.php?showforum=100 народ копает.
К тому же скоро в Европе должен появиться Motorola ROKR E2. Тоже полу-линуксовый. Сам хочу прикупить
